- When do we have lawn bowling games?
The club meets at 9:30 am to bowl at 10:00 on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday &
Sunday (summer is 1/2-hour earlier).
- How long do the games last?
1 and 3/4 hours to 2 hours.
(Generally a 12 end game)
- Must I be a fully trained bowler to enter a game? No.
Any person who masters delivering a
lawn bowl may start bowling on a team.
- Do I pay a fee to enter a game? No.
A new bowler after completing lessons
is entitled to bowl
three games at no cost. After that, he or she is asked to join the
club. Dues for all of 2006 are $175.00 for women or men.
Arrangements can be made for installment payments. New members pay a
smaller amount based on portion of calendar year remaining when they
join. Associate membership is $40. Visitors to the club pay
$2 per for each day they bowl.
- Do I have to purchase a set of bowls right away? No.
The club allows you the use of our club bowls for
4-6 months. After that a member should purchase a set of bowls. New
bowls run about $200.00 plus. Used bowls run about $40.00 to $100.00
per set.
- Do I have to wear whites? Depends.
The dress code allows other colors for all home events
except sanctioned inter-club tournaments. In compliance with the U.S.
Lawn Bowl Assoc. dress regulation, players entered in tournaments that
are not exclusively single club members only, must wear whites or cream
colored clothing.
