Marilyn Taschek and family hosted an Australian Pairs Memorial Tournament August 23rd in memory of Bill Taschek. Two games were played with an outstanding lunch served between games. Each player was given a towel decorated with a pair of kangaroos, and the three teams with 2 wins and most plus points were awarded dollar prizes. First Place went to Armand Escalante and Ann Johnson, pictured below. Second place went to Sandy Rankin and Janet Kessler. Third place went to Jordan Austin and Raul Perez.

A total of 16 teams competed. The other teams were: Mike Newton-Dick Gibson, Jane Brewster-Hans Mehner, Ron Zenone-JW Wilkes, Richard Purcell-Doris Sneddon, Emiko Jackson-Wes Johnson, Patty Berry-Rosalie Hutton, Dixie Tennow-Juliet Watson, Sybil Ziv-Pinky Palladino, Sharon Gibson-Sal Mollo, David Rankin-Barbara Parkhurst, Norm Palladino-Ray Anderson, Bert-Kessler-Edith Dowsing and Sharon Anderson-Amador Martinez.
