 Jane was born in Seattle, Wash. to Charles and Bessie Friedenthal. She passed away very peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and loving family on October, 26, 2014. Raised in Beverly hills and graduated from Beverly Hill High School in 1937 and Queen of Angels Nursing School in 1943. She worked as a registered nurse for many years befor raising her family. Jane married Stephen M. Brewster on Feb. 18, 1943. Dr and Mrs Brewster moved to Camrillo in 1952 where they raised their five children. Jane was very athletic and loved to ski, play tennis, bowling and lawn bowling and hiking. Jane and Steve enjoyed boating and were members of the Channel Islands Yacht Club. Jane joined the Oxnard Joslyn Lawn bowls Club on Feb. 29, 1996 and was an active member through 2010. Photo and article courtesy of the Ventura County Star
