FUN EVENT, JULY 3, 2019CELEBRATING INDEPENDENCE DAY
38 members and guests got together on July 3rd to celebrate the Independence Day holiday, have fun and enjoy some good food and friendships. Attire was red, white and blue or anything patriotic.
Red, white and blue teams. Our 38 members split up into three teams for the bean bag toss. Each person got to throw two bean bags. Five points in the hole, one point on the deck. Red and blue teams tied with eight points so Rock, Paper, Scissors broke the tie. (Raymond Benardout from England learned our American game ). Red team won: Raymond Benardout, Ken Roth, Kathy Corona, Bob Livermont, Sharon Anderson, Randy Juengst, Denny Ryan, Dick Gibson, Dee Press, Ken Paddock, Jack Bucey and Joe Brown. Ray Anderson won with the most patriotic clothes.
Bowls game for the day was 3-3-3 lawnbowling. Bowled 3 ends forehand, 3 backhand and 3 either way. Winners were Pete Westray, Ken Roth and Herb Smith with a total of eight points.
At the end of the morning games
break was called. We
had a delicious lunch of sloppy joes, salads and a variety of dessert. Boy was it good.
