The club held its annual Christmas Party on December 8th at Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club in Oxnard. Approximately 50 members, family and guests attended. Our thanks go to Joe and Gloria Brown for making the arrangements with the Yacht Club and planning the party. Joe Brown acted as the Master of Ceremonies and was assisted by Gloria Brown.
Pacific Corinthian Yacht Club in Oxnard
We spent the first hour socializing with new and old friends. This was followed by a delicious lunch provided by PCYC. The meal was a choice of tri-tip, salmon or chicken. The food was delicious and the servings were generous.
Tim Buley entertained us with music from his keyboard and his singing. He had a great voice and a variety of music that we all enjoyed. Many of our members got up and danced and really got into the spirit of it. Sal Mollo, being a past dance instructor didn't miss many dances. As I noticed several of our lady members kept cutting in with Sal but he never skipped a beat. Sal usually dances with Ann his wife, however Ann wasn't feeling very well and Sal took her home.
Then we had a door prize drawing for gifts. Tim Buler, our musician helped Joe by drawing the door prize tickets. I don't remember who all the winners were but the prizes looked interesting.
We would especially like to thank those members that contributed to the party fund. This helped with the entertainment and door prize drawing items. (I don't have their names.)

Tim Buley provided the music and song. He was very good and added a lot to the party. He had many of the members up dancing and having a good time.
Joe Brown was our MC and offered several jokes. I often thought he should be on the stage.
He offered a silent prayer for those who have been affected by the wild fires that have been raging throughout the County.
